In 2015, a fellow WeightWatchers friend introduced me to an online weight loss challenge that she was doing with some other friends of hers. It was a $10 buy in and it ran 8 weeks. It involved joining a fellow group of challengers in a private Facebook group and tracking points earned for various healthy habits – – anything from exercise, eating fruits and veggies, not eating past 9pm, water intake, food journaling, limiting sweets and more. I decided to try it out and I immediately loved the accountability the challenge gave me. It helped me focus on the habits that would result in weight loss. The winners were selected by who lost the most weight and who had the most points.
Not only have I been doing these challenges, but I’ve been leading them for over a year.
As of June 2017, I decided to take a break from leading the challenges. They had grown to a very large group to manage and I decided to instead take the time to focus on my own weight loss journey for a bit.
